I’ve changed the look of this website. I’m a big fan of German engineering, and I’ve employed a Deutsche theme so far. But this new look is the product of a French designer. It’s called “Freshy.” I think it’s very pretty and fashionable. And with a touch of #990000 over B&W and everything in between, it turned out to be quite sad. Just like the girl in this film extraordinaire.
License is GPL. The link to author’s site can be found in the footer, I’ve left the original design credit untouched.
Also changed is the title of my so-called website. I used to call it by my name, “Koray Akarsu,” so far, which recently started sounding funny to me; this website and I are very very pretty far from being the same. So I’ve replaced it with “Inexorable Repercussions” which was also the title of my first hosted WordPress blog. I really don’t feel like explaining what do I exactly mean by IR at the moment, but be my guest, read through the site, and bring your own interpretation.
Nothing in life is perfect. This theme is no exception. I’m especially [kind of] worried about the font family and size. Windows’ rendering seems a little funny. It sure isn’t the easiest set of fonts on eyes. I went ahead and disabled the header image, but it still loads relatively slow. I’ve noticed an IE7 issue, too. I might tweak it further, iff I feel like it. (I probably won’t. Because, if I edit something too much, I start hating it. That’s why I’m using someone else’s fixed-width theme instead of the fluid one I wrote by spending the last two weeks working on in the first place.)
By the way, this update costed me lots of vanity points. As of this moment, all my previously indexed pages seem to be removed from the major search engines. (I actually consider this a blessing.)
Anyway. Let me know what you think, dear reader.
Since this post became obsolete, I’ve deleted it. The recent theme is “blog.txt” as understood from the footer. Ed.
